An Open House celebrating Emma Burrows’ 100th birthday will be held at the La Porte City Community Center, 300 First Street, on July 16 from 2-4 PM. Refreshments will be served.

Emma was born July 20, 1911, in Benton County. She graduated from La Porte City High School and was a country schoolteacher. On June 2, 1932, she married Donald L. Burrows.
