Knight wrestlers brought home the North Iowa Cedar League (NICL) conference title from South Tama on January 26. Thirteen teams of the NICL vied for the crown with Union’s Max Thomsen (126) and brother Logan (152) winning individual titles to lead the team. In the finals Max pinned Shane Poppens of Aplington-Parkersburg in a time of 1:31, while Logan stuck Tanner Arnold of West Marshall at the 2:49 mark.

Five other Knights were runners-up on the day: Ryder Albertsen (113), Trevor McLaughlin (132), Austin Dengler (138), Jacob Holschlag (145) and Josh Clark (285).
